The successful project engineer to the role will include:

Project Engineering

• Develop project scope of works, request for proposal packages and development of competitive bid reports
• Contribute and manage the development of procurement and contract packages
• Contribute to the development of the Blackstone project management plans
• Manage Blackstone consultants as required
• Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction activities to ensure Blackstone Projects are executed in accordance with design, budget, schedule and specifications
• Contribute to development of Blackstone engineering specifications, standards and design criteria
• Review of contractor deliverables

Project Controls

• Maintain and further develop Blackstone Minerals’ project controls processes, standards and specifications
• Develop and maintain project cost control, forecasting and reporting system
• Develop, monitor and report on project schedule
• Maintain project cost control, forecasting and reporting system
• Manage and develop site-based Project Engineering and Controls team
• Develop and maintain project registers

Technical Support

• Review contractor deliverables and provide technical review and sign-off as appropriate
• Provide commercial guidance on Vietnam based contract negotiations and execution
• Provide engineering support to capital projects through design review and equipment selections

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering preferably mining, mechanical, electrical, or process engineering

• Minimum Ten (10) years’ experience, including five (5) in a project engineering role
• Proven experience executing a complex and significant project up the value of USD50M
• Extensive experience and familiarity with mining, mineral processing or hydrometallurgical industry
• Previous mining, mineral processing, refinery or petrochemical experience
• Experience in non-process infrastructure services projects including roads, water, power, sewerage, communications, and fuel
• International project experience preferred
• Excellent English both written and verbal
• Strong commercial acumen & experience in contract negotiations and execution
• Use of project planning software - Primavera P6, MS Schedule
